FERNANDES, Janainny Magalhães et al. The “Green Letter” Movement as a Transformative Agent for Health Care Training. Rev. Bras. Educ. Med. [online]. 2015, vol.39, n.3, pp.336-338. ISSN 1981-5271.  https://doi.org/10.1590/1981-52712015v39n3e02502013.

Considering the need for teamwork-focused training and the development of discussions and collective constructions in the fields of knowledge, a proposal that seeks to mobilize interdisciplinary training was created by students and teachers from different health courses of the Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul. The end product of this initiative culminated in the creation of a Letter of Intent for curricular changes focused on interprofessional education, called “Carta Verde” or “Green Letter”. This name represents freedom and health, with the intention that together all the professions can complement each other and produce health from training onwards. Furthermore, “green” schedules for participation in projects, creating collective health and discussions between the various areas of knowledge are strategies that can optimize the training of future professional staff. The product of this letter may lead to more effective and specific curricular changes to interprofessional education in accordance with the current needs of the Health System in Brazil.
