SHIMIZU, Helena Eri  e  FRAGELLI, Thais Branquinho Oliveira. Core Competencies for Working in the Family Health Support Group. Rev. Bras. Educ. Med. [online]. 2016, vol.40, n.2, pp.216-225. ISSN 1981-5271.  https://doi.org/10.1590/1981-52712015v40n2e02702014.

The aim of the study was to identify the core competencies as well as to verify their importance and viability for work in the Family Health Support Group (NASF). In the first stage of the study a questionnaire was applied online via Google Docs to identify the competencies needed for work in the NASF, which was completed by 66 professionals. The answers were subjected to content analysis. In the second step we used the Delphi method of Policies in two rounds, with the first 75 and second 44 participants, all Family Health Support Group professionals. Data were collected through an online questionnaire with a Likert scale of four points and analyzed by IQR and De Loe indexes. The results indicated that competencies consist of eight domains: organizing care, working collaboratively, diagnosing the community, planning community actions, developing cross-sectorial actions, strengthening public policies, developing educational activities with staff, acting with different groups, and 42 subdomains. However, there are difficulties in engaging the core competencies that require investment in the development of interdisciplinary work, in building a working process centered on co-ownership and integrated care management, as well as the revision of educational processes in health.
