Abstract

FARIA, Mateus Aparecido de; PAULA, Douglas Marcos Pereira de  and  ROCHA, Cristianne Maria Famer. Notes on the Welcome and Evaluation Module of the Mais Médicos Program. Rev. Bras. Educ. Med. [online]. 2016, vol.40, n.3, pp.332-336. ISSN 1981-5271.  https://doi.org/10.1590/1981-52712015v40n3e02332014.

This article is based on the authors’ participation in the organization of the Foreign Doctors’ Welcome and Evaluation Module as part of the Programa Mais Médicos [More Doctors Program] in Brazil. The aim is to present and discuss several aspects of contents and pedagogical practices used in the classroom in order to foster wider debate on Brazilian medical education (whether with Brazilian professionals or not). At the end of the degree process, a discrepancy was noted between the pedagogical initiatives undertaken as part of the module and that which is recommended by Brazilian public policies for professional healthcare training.
