The aim of this paper is to discuss the contemporary education departing from de characterization of self-cleaning society, defined by the post-modern opening and by the wide variety of mentalities. It’s in this society that co-exists the obsolete subject, the Prometheus heir, the Dionysian subject, characterized by the hedonism, and the hermesian subject, that values the communication, the creation and the mediation. In the struggle of these perspectives, the education live its purpose crises. With no references and models to refresh itself. In this context, one may discuss the bet in a educative pathway that educates the man to choose, issue that appear as an existential alternative to the contemporary impasse.
