School violence continues to be object of investigation of different academic research in the most different areas of scientific knowledge, mainly in the Human Sciences. Majorly discussed as something that needs to be understood to be prevented, and even eradicated from the school space, violence has today manifested itself in an unprecedented way through cases of cyberbullying. When compared to the well-known manifestations of school bullying, cyberbullying has been perceived as a more sophisticated and even more cruel form of violence when using the technological to attack and humiliate their victims. Due to the growth of the cyberbullying practice verified by the significant increase of videos published in the cyberspace containing aggressions against teachers and the incipient number of scientific researches in the area of Education on such phenomenon; the objective of this article is to understand how cyberbullying is investigated as an object of research in the Brazilian academic productions carried out in the Graduate Programs in Education that discuss this theme.
