By the resolution n° 6/12, the current curriculum guidelines to the mid-level technical vocational education show the recognition of the gender identity as a of the principles that guide the technical courses. This recognition give the foundation of the research that was development in the Sergipe Federal Institute (IFS), between the years of 2017 and 2018. This is a bibliography and documentary research that pretends study the relationship gender in the professional and technological education. To this goal was used the theoretical support of the studies about the professional education, gender relationship and sexual division of work. In the IFS, the number of women in the integrated courses in the industry area and informatic still small, but sinalize contestation to the gender prejudices. Therefore, it is necessary to take action in favor of equality between men and women.
