Aiming at a reflection about the importance of the teaching internship in higher education, since it is instituted as a curricular component of the courses at graduate levels, which form the university professors not only as regards to the professional career, but as individuals which are inserted in different contexts of society, this paper sought to recover the origin of the Teaching Internship, highlighting its contributions to those who wish to act as university professors, later highlighting how the profile in the classroom associated with multiple intelligences has been developed, - formulated by Howard Gardner - stimulating reflection on the new challenges of the internship, in order to contribute to the possibilities that encompass this activity. Thus, the work was made possible through a bibliographical, analytical and documentary research about the highlighted subjects, in order to corroborate for a better contemporary teaching practice, as well as discussing the meaning of the internship towards the strengthening of educational cohesive levels and really prepare the student for the job market and such.
