Abstract

MELLO, Regina Lara Silveira  and  SILVA, Marcia Tostes Costa da. Weaving knowledge about the creative process in the teaching of early childhood. Educ. Teoria Prática [online]. 2023, vol.33, n.66, e4.  Epub Dec 31, 2023. ISSN 1981-8106.  https://doi.org/10.18675/1981-8106.v33.n.66.s15809.

The text presents reflections on the creative teaching process especially dedicated to children, observing actions and establishing dialogue with a public education teacher from the public school in the municipality of Barueri, west district of the metropolitan region of São Paulo. The research is based on the qualitative methodology, case study, presenting reflections on the project “Por causa da luz”, developed with a class of 27 children aged 5 years. The concepts developed by Vygotsky, which establish relationships between imaginative activity and reality, the flow of current ideas, elaborated by Csikzentmihalyi, and the courage to create, according to May, are the main theoretical contributions on which this study is based. The process starts when the teacher is in real situations that require creative solutions. If the children's interest is perceived and shared, the encounter takes place, permeated with emotions, which generate the creative flow. It was evident in the development of this article that the creative process in teaching is nurtured and cultivated by research, hard, serious work, with clear goals and enough courage to innovate.
