Abstract

ALMEIDA, Maria de Fátima Xavier da Anunciação de. The portuguese language textbook: a study of the Apis Collection, 1st to 5th year. Educ. Teoria Prática [online]. 2023, vol.33, n.66, e8.  Epub Dec 31, 2023. ISSN 1981-8106.  https://doi.org/10.18675/1981-8106.v33.n.66.s17488.

In this text we present part of a research accomplished in a Post-Doctoral degree on the texbook of the curricular component of the Portuguese language of the early years of elementary school of the Programa Nacional do Livro Didático e do Material Didático (PNLD) 2019. These are books from the 1 st to the 5 th year from the Coleção Ápis (CALP) published since 2011 by Ática Publisher. At the production pole ( DARTON, 1990), we intend to analyse some aspects of the materiality of the five volumes of the CALP and also show readers presupposed meanings in the practices and representations of reading. The explanatory and interpretive study is guided by the references of the field of Cultural History (HC), mainly through the thoughts of Chartier (1990), Certeau (1990), Ferreira (2017) and Bakhtin (1988; 2003). We take the collection as a source and object of research, whose materiality is constituted in the form of language, in printed media, part of the written culture in the society in which it published. The analysis point out that the presupposed readers for the CALP are not necessaryly students from the early years of elementary school. We find in the morphology of the didatic work the marks of other foreseen readers, who can bring prestige in its editorial and pedagogical project.
