Abstract

MAZZARINO, Jane Márcia  and  MARQUES, Rodrigo Müller. Educommunication: proposal for the revision of objectives, principles and areas of intervention. Educ. Teoria Prática [online]. 2024, vol.34, n.67, e23.  Epub Sep 05, 2024. ISSN 1981-8106.  https://doi.org/10.18675/1981-8106.v34.n.67.s17695.

Educommunication is a field of social intervention that operates at the interface between education and communication. It emerges as an area with potential strengths, as it is crossed by the ways of doing things and offering meanings from these two fields of knowledge for social action in the world. It has principles and areas of intervention which, due to the very dynamism of the field, periodically require revision. The aim of this article is to present a review of the assumptions that guide the Educommunication field at this time in history. The approach is bibliographical and documental. It starts with the theoretical contributions already established in the field, to which reflections are added. As a result, it is proposed to rework its objectives and actions, principles and areas of intervention of Educommunication. In order to contribute to the epistemological reflection of the field of Educommunication, the reworking resulted in eight objectives, five principles and six areas of intervention.
