LIMA, Waldísia Rodrigues de e CAMPOS, Juliane Aparecida de Paula Perez. From schooling to inclusion at workplace: narratives of a young person with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Educ. Teoria Prática [online]. 2025, vol.35, n.69, e75. ISSN 1981-8106. https://doi.org/10.18675/1981-8106.v35.n.69.s18152.
The objective of this research was to listen to and present the life story of a young man with autism spectrum disorder who had graduated from high school and entered the world of work, and to analyze in this account his life trajectory, from schooling to inclusion in workplace. The study method is oral history, focusing on life history and qualitative data analysis. The results obtained highlighted the protagonism of young people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in matters concerning their own lives, especially regarding their vision of the schooling process, inclusion in workplace and, in general, their life in society. There is ample evidence of the significant importance of empowering the voice of people with ASD through their narratives, by revealing their own world. Furthermore, this study concludes that there is a lot to explore in its worldview and that there are still few studies researching this relationship.
