This text discusses the proposals presented in the Basic Document (BRAZIL, 2016a) with Guidelines for Teacher Formation Courses in the areas of Teaching, Teaching Methods and Practices and in the new National Policy for the Formation of Basic Education Professionals (Decree 8.752/2016). From a documentary research, it is evident the proposition of a reformulation in the courses of initial formation of teachers based on knowledge of didactic-methodological nature, with primacy in the competence for the know-how. The documents reveal the loss of professional rights and the reconfiguration of their training processes - in which there is the secondaryisation of foundational elements to teacher formation, geared to the political and pedagogical formation of these professionals.
