The present study aimed to understand the place and times in which studies involving children 's cultures were carried out in Brazilian research through a bibliographical research. The results allow us to state that most of the studies analyzed studied children's cultures in the area of early childhood education and in the early years of elementary school, that is, the discussion of this theme has been studied considering as centrality territoriality and school/institutionalized time.
