Abstract

BAUERMANN, Laura  and  UMANN, Jair Felipe Bonatto. WANDERING BETWEEN SYMBOLS AND BODIES: AN EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE IN DANCE INSPIRED BY MAÇAMBIQUE. Revista Teias [online]. 2018, vol.19, n.54, pp.382-395.  Epub Sep 05, 2021. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2018.34498.

This article is based on reflections about an educational practice involving learning with inspiration in the festival of Maçambique that takes place in the city of Osório/RS. Through the study we aim to discuss the structuring of a dance learning space that allows the construction of movements, at the body, impregnated with the stories and symbols that make up the cultural manifestation in question. Thus, we Investigate how this practice can result in the expression of movements that are generated by how each subject organizes itself related to the references of Maçambique that are accessed during an activity. Finally, we discuss some epistemological issues that permeate this perspective of body and learning.
