Abstract

DIAS, Patrícia  and  SECCHI, Darci. VILLAGE-SCHOOL OF THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE ZORO: A PROPOSAL FOR EDUCATION BEYOND SCHOOL. Revista Teias [online]. 2018, vol.19, n.55, pp.340-353.  Epub Feb 17, 2020. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2018.34139.

The text presents reflections about a conception of education that goes beyond the hegemonic spaces of propagation of the knowledge established by scientific rationality, rigid, unifying, producing asymmetries. The study is based on research data, such as field observation and narratives of Zoró indigenous teachers and leaders. It is concluded that the way of education of the Zoró Indigenous people, even if there are challenges, presupposes a unique way of thinking about education by challenging the logic of modernity and incorporating other knowledge and ways of being and living in the school context and insert other spaces in the process of teaching and learning, actions that will produce autonomy and resignification in and out of school.

Keywords : Decoloniality; Intercultural indigenous school education; Indigenous People Zoró.
