This article analyzes the path made by Darcy Ribeiro and how his thoughts and acts influenced the brazilian education, mostly the university. The study also demonstrates how the ideology gets to naturalize historic facts and strongly criticizes the theory claims of the liberalism and also points to the culturally and economically predatory trends of the present globalization process. This work takes about the importance of the thought and actions of Darcy Ribeiro, by understanding that diversification of people and their recognition, which he called “civilizing process”.
