The aim of the article is to reflect on the role of the education in the elaboration of know ledge. Initially accepted as conceptualization of education, the process that leads the learner to recognize, seek, establis h and prioritize values, in order to improve itself as a human person and as an individual personality. For this reason, distinguish itself education, instruction and culture. After that, it is analyzed the notion of "knowledge construction" show ing the different understandings of the term: as a scientific production resulting from the research of specialists, scientists in their sundry areas and as individual apprehension of the constituted know ledge, in other w ords, as individual learning. It is based on the Theory of Values and Phenomenology to conclude, revealing the interference of the education in the construction of the know ledge, as a collective know ledge, or as individual learning through recognition and hierarchy of values.
