Abstract

UCHOA, Márcia Maria Rodrigues; CHACON, Jerry Adriano Villanova  and  VILELLA, Mariana. THE SCHOOL OCCUPATIONS OF 2015 AND 2016 FOR THE READING OF THE ETHICS OF LIBERATION. Revista Teias [online]. 2019, vol.20, n.57, pp.156-174.  Epub Dec 18, 2019. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2019.42967.

The paper proposes an analysis of the movement of school occupations in the years of 2015 and 2016 in the state of São Paulo, under the Ethic of Liberation. This is a qualitative approach, derived from exploratory and bibliographical research, with the aim of describing the characteristics of the movement and analytic reading with the bibliographical contribution of Enrique Dussel (2002) and his ethics of liberation and contributions of Theodor Adorno (2003) and Paulo Freire (2011), with their respective concepts of emancipation and autonomy. School occupations emerge as an insurgent movement of secondary students against the state government, which deliberated on the policy of reorganizing schools, an arbitrary and undemocratic action for the community of affected victims. The strategy of school occupations achieved a favorable result to the demand of the students.
