Abstract

SANTOS, Jefferson do Carmo Andrade; SOARES, Leonardo Rodrigo  and  SORTE, Paulo Boa. DIGITAL LITERACIES IN CONTINUING TEACHER EDUCATION. Revista Teias [online]. 2020, vol.21, n.60, pp.270-281.  Epub May 25, 2020. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2020.45853.

Digital literacies, broadly taken as social practices, which cover digital as well as non-digital spheres, play a decisive role in contemporary education. However, in order to have digital literacy practices explored in classroom, continuing teacher education programs should be implemented (MENEZES DE SOUZA, 2011; ROJO, 2013; LANKSHEAR E KNOBEL, 2015; JORDÃO, 2017). This paper aims at presenting possibilities of continuing teacher education towards digital literacies. The authors applied questionnaires to teachers from public elementary schools, in Arraias, Tocantins. As outcomes, it was noticed uses which are still focused on technical factors to the detriment of critical and reflective aspects.
