The purpose of this article is to analyze the insertion of digital tools in the teaching of cartography in fundamental education. We elaborated pedagogical practices referring to Geography contents using technologies for students of the eighth grade of elementary school in a public school in the city of Uberaba - MG. For that, there was a constructive-collaborative intervention, focused on the qualitative approach. Cartographic language is essential for observing the transformations of space (CASTROGIOVANNI, 2002; CALLAI, 2005). In addition, a look at the Multiliteracies presented by Rojo and Moura (2012). The results point to the recognition of positive impacts on student learning arising from the innumerable possibilities evoked by digital technologies in the teaching of cartography. In the data analysis, students were also engaged in conducting research on the Internet, providing investigations to solve questions and arousing curiosity about reading maps.
