Abstract

HORA, Dinair Leal da  and  LELIS, Luziane Said Cometti. THE PROCESS OF APPROPRIATING THE RESULTS OF EXTERNAL EVALUATIONS AND IDEB IN A BASIC SCHOOL IN THE AMAZON. Revista Teias [online]. 2020, vol.21, n.61, pp.39-54.  Epub June 08, 2020. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2020.49408.

This article identifies the implications of regulation and evaluation policies in the school context, analyzing the way in which the management team and teachers of a public school in the Amazon Region of Belém / Pará appropriate the results of Basic Education Development Index (IDEB). The research, of a qualitative nature, adopted a bibliographic review and semi-structured interviews articulating fundamental units intertwined with each other: pedagogical management, external evaluation, improvement of teaching quality and appropriation of IDEB. The investigation indicates that the logic of the national assessment policy reinforces the management management in the school; the lack of discussion about the implications of regulation and evaluation policies at school results in the natural acceptance of the culture of results; IDEB translates a concept of quality as an instrumental, quantifiable value, capable of manipulation, which does not represent the concrete reality of pedagogical work.

Keywords : external evaluation; IDEB; pedagogical management.
