Abstract

SILVA, Marta Regina Paulo da. "WHAT ABOUT THE BABIES?": when babies question our teaching. Revista Teias [online]. 2020, vol.21, n.61, pp.274-286.  Epub June 08, 2020. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2020.43792.

Who are the babies? This and many other questions have encouraged the work with babies in three municipal nurseries. It is part of a project connected to Institutional Program to Teaching Initiation Scholarship (PIBID). Different educational contexts were organized in order not only to arouse curiosity, fantasy, imagination and inventiveness of infants, enhancing their experiences, but also to stimulate students’, educators’ and researchers’ curiosity about babies and their cultural productions. As a result, it was possible to rethink our teaching with babies, considering them as privileged interlocutors in the construction of a dialogic pedagogical practice, which required adults to be silent so that they could listen to them, so they could also learn from them.

Keywords : babies; dialogue; teacher training.
