Abstract

SCOZ, Emanuella. CHARACTERISTICS AND INFLUENCES OF A FASHION CURRICULUM OF A SANTA CATARINA UNIVERSITY. Revista Teias [online]. 2020, vol.21, n.spe, pp.149-166.  Epub Jan 20, 2021. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2020.47803.

This paper discusses the characteristics of a 1997 Fashion curriculum in A University of Santa Catarina, looking at possible influences of the educational and brazilian fashion contexts of the 1990s, the world of work (ANTUNES, 2015), and globalization (SANTOS, 2000). It aims to analyze the curricular characteristics of a Bachelor of Fashion, using the thematic and discursive analysis methodology (BARDIN, 2016). The results show a technical curriculum, not aligned with the transformations of the world of work, but pertinent to LDB/1996. Higher education cultural choices were observed to aid economic development, based on industry and factory employability.

Keywords : curriculum; fashion; higher education.
