Abstract

SILVA, Osni Oliveira Noberto da; MIRANDA, Theresinha Guimarães  and  BORDAS, Miguel Angel Garcia. PRECARIOUSNESS OF TEACHER WORK: an analysis of the activity of special education teachers in the Diamantine Region. Revista Teias [online]. 2020, vol.21, n.spe, pp.183-193.  Epub Jan 20, 2021. The aim of the present paper was to describe the conditions of the pedagogical processes and characteristics of the work activity of the teachers of ESA of the municipal schools of the Piedmont of Diamantina region, state of Bahia. Data collection consisted of a closed question questionnaire applied to 36 teachers. It was found that teachers work with a large number of students, including many different types of special needs, and some extrapolate the target audience of the ESA. Nevertheless, the vast majority say that they produce curriculum adaptations to meet their students' individual pedagogical needs, which requires a large amount of time, which exceeds the workload, as teachers end up taking ESA work to be done at home. Thus, it is possible to state that the working conditions of the subjects participating in the study are well below the considered satisfactory, requiring a closer look of the managers to face this situation.
