The Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Studies Centers have become a leading space in the country's higher education institutions in favor of implementing Laws 10.639/2003, 11.645/2008 and Curriculum Guidelines in the field of anti-racist education. The article presents the paths taken by the NEABI of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro with regard to the universe of its teacher training actions, confirming the understanding that an anti-racist education implies in criticizing the myth of racial democracy, in understanding the mechanisms of exclusion that falls on the black population, pointing in the direction of the possibilities of interfering in the processes of teacher qualification in the perspective of Law 10.639 / 2003, producing knowledge that institutes principles that value the education of ethnicracial relations.
