Abstract

ROSA, Fábio José Paz da. THE AFROCARIOCA CINEMA CENTER ZÓZIMO BULBUL AS A SPACE FOR DECOLONIAL EDUCATION. Revista Teias [online]. 2020, vol.21, n.62, pp.278-293.  Epub Feb 09, 2022. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.%y.49739.

This article aims to analyze the Afro-Brazilian Center for Cinema, inserted as an expression of the Black Movement, in which racial and cultural issues have in their seventh art the articulating language with literature, dance, music and theater. We understand this space based on a decolonial pedagogy to which founder Zózimo Bulbul and his peers build fundamental perspectives to rethink the curriculum, the teaching practice and basic school in line with Law 10.639/2003. In this way, we understand the need for teachers to have as reference the knowledge produced by black artists and intellectuals when showing the inseparability of ancestry, orality and different artistic languages with a view to the production of new cinematographic images.

Keywords : Afrocarioca Cinema Center; Black Movement; decolonial pedagogy.
