Abstract

BOFF, Daiane Scopel; NEVES, Antônia Regina Gomes  and  FABRIS, Elí Terezinha Henn. THE CLASS: from the worship of the new to the complexity of the contemporary. Revista Teias [online]. 2020, vol.21, n.63, pp.206-219.  Epub Feb 08, 2022. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.%y.53758.

This paper discusses the intertwining between innovation and inseparability of theory and practice from the perspective that they are part of the teaching archive. By working with theorizations from the field of teacher education and teaching, as well as concepts from sociology and philosophy, from a hypercritic perspective, we approach discursivities that constitute one of the archive regions – the class – and analyze how the theory-practice dichotomy has functioned in meanings attributed to teaching. The empirical material was produced from a film analysis adapted to the documental genre, and semi-structured interviews with teachers in teaching courses. The analysis has shown that discursivities produced in the teaching archive have strengthened both the theory-practice dichotomy and the intensification of the new. Based on that, we have pointed out the theory-practice inseparability as a qualified possibility to think about education, teaching and classes, by considering the complexities of the contemporary.

Keywords : class; innovation; theory-practice inseparability.
