Intersectionality analyzes racial and gender discrimination, among other oppressions that overlap in the lives of black women. The objective of this study was to analyze the challenges of how is to be a black woman and a university teacher in teaches training courses at the Universidade Federal do Acre/ Campus Sede, reflecting on racial and gender discriminations in academia. In the methodology, bibliographic and field research was used, through narrative interviews. The negroid traits of the teachers were similar with prejudices alluding to their professional skills and qualifications, naturalizing racism in the academy.
