Abstract

MINUSSI, Valéria Pereira  and  RAMOS, Nara Vieira. SOCIAL JUSTICE: a conceptual trajectory. Revista Teias [online]. 2021, vol.22, n.64, pp.300-315.  Epub July 30, 2021. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.%y.50123.

The article intends to deepen the debate about Social Justice resuming the construction of this concept and how it is considered nowadays. Social Justice is based on three dimensions: Redistribution, Recognition and Representation. Crosswise, there is an idea of Social Justice as equals opportunities and equals positions. Conducted as a bibliographic search, this article addresses ideas from Rawls (2000a, 2000b, 2003) studying the concept of redistribution, Fraser (2006) bringing the concept of recognition, Young (2006) debating representation and Dubet (2014) presenting the equals opportunities and equals positions as forms of Social Justice. The concept of Social Justice is constantly changing, being dynamic, following the specificities of the societies and individuals that are part of it, as well as their demands.

Keywords : redistribution; recognition; representation.
