Abstract

SCHWAMBERGER, Cintia  and  SANTOS, Fabio Junio da Silva. TEACHING PRACTICES IN TIMES OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC: it is possible to include people with disabilities?. Revista Teias [online]. 2021, vol.22, n.65, pp.163-170.  Epub Dec 26, 2019. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.%y.57001.

The Covid-19 pandemic altered the scenarios of local and global social life, particularly affecting schooling processes in the global south, highlighting its structural inequalities. Thus, the objective of this article is to analyze the teaching practices of public elementary and high school networks located on the urban periphery of the city of São Paulo and the networks of the Metropolitan Region of Buenos Aires, specifically focused on the education of people with disabilities, to argue that the resulting teaching practices have required solutions that go beyond schooling. In the first section, we analyze how the right to education is guaranteed at this time and then discuss how government logic sectorizes and homogenizes the group of people with disabilities, resulting in exclusionary practices and no access to the curriculum. Finally, we propose new questions to discuss the ways in which teaching practices are developed.

Keywords : teaching practices; inclusion; disability; Covid-19.
