Teacher training contributes to professional development and participation in movements for the fight for social justice. In Special Education, training still offers the reduction of gaps in the quality of education. This article presents a Continuing Education Program in the use of Alternative Communication (CA) for teachers of Specialized Educational Services. It is the result of a stage of a doctoral research in which the effects of autoscopy on teaching practice were analyzed. The consequences of using Alternative Communication in interactive relationships in the daily school life of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (TEA) and their teachers were verified. The results signaled an increase in student interactions with ASD and their teachers. Students began to use AC in the classroom, with PECS-Adapted as an effective system.
