Abstract

PEREIRA, Walquíria de Araújo  and  GOMES, Raimunda Kelly Silva. KNOWLEDGE TEACHERS IN ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AT THE MACACOARI FAMILY AGROECOLOGICAL SCHOOL. Revista Teias [online]. 2021, vol.22, n.67, pp.478-497.  Epub Feb 23, 2023. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2021.53445.

This article discusses how environmental education (AE) is developed from the knowledge and teaching experiences of the Escola Família Agroecológica do Macacoari in the Amapá Amazon, located in the municipality of Itaubal-Amapá. The methodological foundation is anchored in a case study that was developed through direct observation, semi-structured interviews and a conversation circle with educators, guided by generating themes taken from the interview stage. The adopted methodology allowed analyzing through the concept of Ludwik Fleck (2010) which style of thinking about AE is predominant among EFAM teachers, thus indicating aspects inherent to the teaching knowledge in the development of AE in the study area. The results indicated that the ecological thinking style stood out in the practice of educators and that the training process by alternation, through knowledge and teaching experiences about AE, although with some conceptual, methodological limitations and even referring to initial and continuing education, it constitutes a propitious field for the development of the environmental theme, contributing to overcome the challenge that is the realization of AE in the formal environment.
