Abstract

KREMER, Claines  and  BARBOSA, Maria Carmen Silveira. CHILDREN'S CULTURES, PLAY AND WRITTEN LEARNING IN PRESCHOOL. Revista Teias [online]. 2021, vol.22, n.67, pp.498-514.  Epub Feb 23, 2023. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2021.53442.

This article is subsequent to a Master's research based on theoretical dialogues between Childhood Pedagogy and Interpretive Anthropology, which aimed to understand children's cultures and children's point of view about learning to play and name writing in preschool. Methodologically, the study was guided by the assumptions of Research with Children and Ethnography. For this article, the data constructed in the empirical field were organized into two analytical units: the first with a focus on the relationship between play and learning, and the second with an emphasis on the appropriation that children make about the writing of names. The results suggest that children’s cultures are deeply related to children’s learning and conclude that they should be considered in the discussion of educational process in preschool.

Keywords : learning; young children; children’s cultures.
