Abstract

GONZAGA, Luciano Luz. LAW 13.415/2017 AND THE “NEW” HIGH SCHOOL: relevant untranquilities:. Revista Teias [online]. 2021, vol.22, n.especial, pp.215-225.  Epub Feb 18, 2023. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2021.62047.

The research analyzes the formative paths of High School in Brazil from its genesis to the urgent reform of High School by Law 13415/2017. It is, therefore, a qualitative, systematic, descriptive, interpretive, bibliographic and documental research, which seeks to problematize the legal provision that amends the National Education Guidelines and Bases Law (Law 9394/96), consequently impacting on educational policies - particularly the curricular ones. Historically, the perspective of this teaching modality had as a project the qualification of the working class workforce and the propaedeutic teaching to the elite. In this attempt, the new high school law seems to suggest the return of this perspective, recommending training paths for a utilitarian pedagogical practice, intensifying the dualistic proposal between training for work for low-income students and intellectual training for the elite at the expense of an equitable education, from a holistic perspective that values the integral formation of the student.
