Resumo

The discussion presented here is an excerpt from the results of a doctoral thesis, which analyzed a specific public policy in Espírito Santo: the “Programa Bolsa Estágio Formação Docente”, focused on the training of teachers in non-mandatory internship. To this end, through qualitative research, the documentary and content analysis of the Program's legal documents was carried out, as well as content analysis of the semi-structured interviews conducted with 14 managers from Sedu-ES and Ufes, plus 4 trainers from this university. The analysis of this experience showed that the internship still presents weaknesses in the theory-practice integration, reinforcing the relevance of this article, since it aims to highlight the concept of internship implied in the referred Program, problematizing its training activities. From the analysis of this Program, it was concluded that there is a predominance of a more bureaucratic conception of internship, of signing documents and reports, without systematic monitoring by all the actors involved in the process. However, the importance of proposals such as this in the search for teaching professionalization is emphasized, so that the internship is conceived as an educational act and guided by research as a formative principle.
