This paper discusses the movement for the constitution of Rural Education, highlighting its links with social struggles and the efforts undertaken by the Rural Education Movement in the construction of an education project that can combat the advances of agribusiness and spread as seeds of another sociability project forged in community experiences and solidarity networks woven from projects cultivated in the context of rural agriculture. This pedagogical movement has established new educational spaces and times aimed at recognizing the knowledges present in the social practices of rural people, with the implementation of pedagogical strategies that broaden the dialogues between the knowledge of the countryside population with the universal knowledge that make up the historical heritage of humanity. The study was developed from the theoretical contributions of the dialectical approach, using bibliographical research and the analysis of the documents produced by the Movement of Rural Education. For this reason, we believe that the experiences of Rural Education instituted by social movements bring important political, pedagogical and epistemological contributions to thinking about a critical and liberating pedagogy, anchored in the political and philosophical assumptions of critical theories of education.
