The article proposes a debate on alterity and approaches the research in education. It deals with action research as an alternative that brings the researcher closer to his object and enables listening, especially when speaking, to produce knowledge that has an impact on educational actions and contributes to solving problems detected in data collection processes. The methodology used was bibliographic research. The investigation demonstrated that when the researcher chooses the action research, this is one of the promising possibilities capable of creating educational alternatives in the social sphere, mainly because it establishes or creates constant dialogues, alterities and sensitive listening, some of the important items when dealing with research with human beings. Thus, instituting dialogicity is urgent for the identification and solution as an alternative to solve part of educational problems.
