Abstract

FERREIRA, Sabrina Mendonça  and  EMILIAO, Soymara Vieira. “IT IS NOT A LOST YEAR”: resistance of teachers, temporalities, and inventions in pandemic school life. Revista Teias [online]. 2022, vol.23, n.70, pp.403-412.  Epub Feb 23, 2023. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2022.60458.

This essay discusses the possibility of the teaching work that is taking place in this pandemic period to be understood as a way of resistance, of facing a time of uncertainty and fear. It aims to relate curricular inventions in everyday school life from important issues that emerged in the conversations between the narrator teachers, reflecting the meanings that circulate in these daily lives. One of the questions relates the Greek times with the school's own time and what other temporal dimensions can make known, in training processes for teachers and students. Then, it discusses the understanding of class time as a possible spacetime for the invention and expansion of the present in everyday school life. Finally, considering the physical distance due to the Covid-19 pandemic and, in rebellion to the time of fear, inspired by research and studies with daily life in schools, it conclusively defends the importance of collective efforts for the operation of other logics in the contemporary curricular field.

Keywords : times; inventions; everyday school life.
