SPONCHIADO, Laercio Francisco  and  PAIM, Marilane Maria Wolff. THE TEACHER TRAINING AND THE STUDENTS INCLUSION WITH DISABILITIES. Revista Teias [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.73, pp.45-56.  Epub Aug 24, 2023. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2023.74040.

The present text The teacher training and the students inclusion with disabilities is an excerpt from the result of a master's research developed in the Postgraduate Professional Master's Program in Education (PPGPE) of the Federal University of Fronteira Sul (UFFS) - Campus Erechim. This study, with a qualitative approach, aimed to investigate the initial and continued teacher training of teachers, seeking to understand whether it is enabling teachers to work with students with disabilities or who have global developmental disorders, promoting inclusion of all in the school environment. As a methodology, we used field research with the participation of 11 teachers from a state public school in the municipality of Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul, which has initiatives aimed at inclusion, using the focus group as a research instrument. During the development of the research, it was possible to verify that there is a lack of pedagogical training for teachers, both in terms of initial and continuing training. Most teachers who participated in the focus group report that they had an incipient or even absent initial training in relation to the theme of inclusion; that schools, at least at the state level, organize their own continuing education, without a common and integrating axis, leaving important issues such as inclusion in the background.

Keywords : teacher training; inclusion; exclusion; students with disabilities.
