Abstract

CAMARGO, Daiana  and  DORNELLES, Leni Vieira. I PLAY, YOU PLAY, WE PLAY: the body and the movement in teacher education for child education. Revista Teias [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.73, pp.309-323.  Epub Aug 24, 2023. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2023.70010.

We take as a starting point the concerns about playing in the daily life of early childhood education, considering that teacher training is an important element for the appreciation and resizing of play. In this perspective, we set out to investigate and discuss playing in the training of teachers for EI, permeated by an understanding of children, their childhoods and the educational institutions intended for them. We bring a theoretical discussion on the subject, presenting approaches by scholars of play, the body in movement and teacher training, articulated with some speeches by pedagogy academics about playing, the body, and movement in their training, in higher education. In this tangle of speeches, references and analyses, we deal with playing, the body and the daily acrobatics that is to educate and learn with children, considering that the training of early childhood education teachers needs to be linked to movement, aesthetic experience and understanding of children's art and cultures.

Keywords : play; movement; pedagogy; teacher training.
