Discurso educacional contemporâneo: inventário analógico, by Julio Groppa Aquino, gathers 5.000 excerpts from 1.165 interviews given by 896 exponents of the Brazilian pedagogical field over the last four decades. The documentary corpus consists of 10 leading journals in the educational area. It refers to a broad diachronic frame, which concerns both the history of pedagogical narratives in progress in the country and the intricate mechanics of teaching government proclaimed by the educational expertise highlighted in the book. In this review, appropriation and montage stand out as research strategies with the archive, a notion that the author mobilizes based on Michel Foucault and his interlocutors. Instead of replacing and interpreting the selected texts, the work establishes a movement of hybridization and transcreation of the discourse, whose effects suggest new styles of presence for current educational practices.
