This article aims to understand about the continuing education of teachers who work in the early years in rural schools, as a result of a dissertation study clipping. The rural education proposal foresees that the pedagogical practices are aligned with the peculiarities of the peasant context, in this sense, it is necessary to reflect on teacher training in this reality. This universe requires that training provide teachers with theoretical foundations regarding the modality of rural education. In this sense, the research uses a qualitative approach of the State of Knowledge type. To this end, they were mapped in the theses and dissertations catalog of the coordination for the improvement of higher education personnel - Capes, where the descriptors countryside education and continuing formation of teachers were used, with the purpose of knowing the results of scientific productions on the continuing education of teachers, active in the early years, in rural schools. Seven master's dissertations were selected, published over a period of time between 2017 and 2021. After analyzing and systematizing these productions, it was possible to conclude that although positive advances are identified in the continuing education devices made available to rural schools, there is still a demand for specific continuing education for teachers who work in this scenario. continuing education for this teaching modality implies taking on a configuration that encourages teachers to understand the rural education proposal.
