Abstract

FEITOSA, Nathalia Maria de Sousa; SILVA, Érica Dantas da  and  PIRES, Aparecida Carneiro. THE ASSESSMENT OF LEARNING IN THE LIGHT OF CIPRIANO CARLOS LUCKESI THOUGHT. Revista Teias [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.75, pp.365-371.  Epub Dec 26, 2023. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2023.70418.

Over time, the professor Cipriano Carlos Luckesi became a reference in studies on the assessment of learning. Aware of the relevance of assessment to the teaching-learning process, we spoke with Professor Luckesi about the materialization and challenges of formative assessment in school education, the repercussions caused by regional differences in the process of teacher training, the use of tests as an instrument of approval and failure in the training path of teachers and the deadlocks and potentialities of assessment in the context of the return to classroom teaching in brazilian education. Luckesi is a retired professor at the Faculty of Philosophy at the Federal University of Bahia (Universidade Federal da Bahia - UFBA). He has a undergraduate degree in philosophy from the Catholic University of Salvador (Universidade Católica do Salvador - UCSAL) and in theology from the Pontifical Catholic University (Pontifícia Universidade Católica - PUC-SP), master's degree in social sciences from UFBA and PhD in Education from PUC-SP. The interview reiterates the understanding of the assessment of learning as an instrument for the rise to qualitative and emancipatory training of subjects.

Keywords : learning assessment; formative assessment; teacher training.
