Abstract

FANTIN, Monica; GIRARDELLO, Gilka  and  SANTOS, José Douglas Alves dos. OTHER REPERTORIES ON CHILDHOOD: the child in literary works. Revista Teias [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.esp, pp.96-112.  Epub Nov 22, 2024. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2023.64678.

The text reflects on children and childhoods, placing them in different contexts, based on representations from the Arts, which are increasingly necessary in the context of university education. In order to systematize alternative references that expand the academic-scientific repertoire of studies on children and childhood, we share a body of works that present them in different scenarios and situations, more specifically through literature, and considering that this theme often appears in autobiographical works. Using the method of creating a literary constellation, interweaving voices to show what they have in common, but at the same time not ignoring their differences, the article emphasizes the way in which such productions suggest a new pedagogical, political and cultural reading of the concept/notion of childhood, focused on its conceptual and interpretive plurality through a literary perspective, which allows for an alternative approach at the theme, oriented by an openness to other voices and perspectives, that may eventually be divergent but are still deeply interconnected.

Keywords : childhoods; children; pedagogical-literary references..
