Thinking about the trajectories of caiçara teachers and social educators from the city of Iguape - São Paulo (SP), is reflecting on the paths taken by rural people who draw strength from the land and their ancestral traditions to continue fighting for better living conditions, education, culture and citizenship. The problem of this article raises the following question: how do the trajectories of caiçara teachers and social educators in the municipality of Iguape - SP present themselves? Seeking to answer, we aimed to analyze the trajectory of caiçara teachers and social educators in the municipality of Iguape - SP. Anthropologically, traditional caiçara communities are located on the coasts of the State of Paraná, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro and present similar ways of life by carrying out the fandango joint effort as a means of social organization and producing a canoe using a single trunk, as well as others artifacts, in a similar style. Furthermore, the caiçara populations result from the confluence of indigenous, European and African people who, over the centuries, have shaped the faces of Brazilians. This research was based on historical-dialectical materialism, with a qualitative bias, we collected data through semi-structured interviews. Traditional caiçara communities belong to the group that makes up rural education, however there is a unique peculiarity that distinguishes them from other peasant communities, whose characteristics also concern taking their livelihood from the sea through fishing.
