Abstract

OLIVEIRA, Elizângela Farias de; SILVEIRA, Nadia Dumara Ruiz  and  OLIVEIRA, Ozerina Victor de. EDUCATION POLICY AND CURRICULUM: work and subjectification of adults 50+. Revista Teias [online]. 2024, vol.25, n.77, pp.317-329.  Epub July 13, 2024. ISSN 1982-0305.  https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2024.82110.

This article problematizes the relationship between education policies, curriculum, ageing and work involving adults 50+. The aim is to analyze conceptions of education policy and non-formal education curriculum in the subjectivation processes of people aged 50+, in a work situation. The investigative process was based on a qualitative approach, using bibliographic studies, document analysis and field research with interviews with people aged 50+ as methodological procedures. The results of the analysis reveal weaknesses in the articulation between public policies and age diversity, from a perspective of human rights and social justice, in the face of the imposition of a productivity standard. The reflections and interpretations made stimulate further research into the challenges facing the construction of public policies and curricula from the perspective of winning rights and social justice, considering the ageing process.

Keywords : education policy; curriculum; work; ageing.
