Usually, projects developed with children in Early Childhood Education come from the planning of the educational institution itself, as a result of its political-pedagogical project and/or pedagogical meetings. In this article, the project in question, Projeto Plenarinha, is proposed by the Secretary of State for Education of the Federal District to the institutions of Early Childhood Education in the Federal District and what we will present in this article is the result of a research that had as its objectives analyzing the participation of children, as well as the challenges and possibilities that permeated this pedagogical practice; to verify the teachers' understanding on the Project; to investigate the pedagogical action related to the development of the Project and, also, to identify if the children's participatory possibilities related to the Plenarinha Project during its execution were effective in an institution of Early Childhood Education in the Federal District. As a data collection tool, we used participant observation, field diary entries, drawings, photos, voice recording and document analysis. Based on the analysis of the data that emerged during the research, the child participation was reflected from three axes: activities related to the Plenarinha; the conversation circle and listening to the child; being that for this article the cut for analysis refers to the axis “the conversation circle”.
