The historical analysis of criminal cases involving the sexual abuse of children allows us to understand the processes and educability regimes in a given society that at the time dealt with this violent practice. Based on a study in the field of History of Education and Childhood, we present a comparative analysis of the developments of two criminal complaints involving children as victims. To this end, it operates with Foucauldian concepts of sexuality, violence and abnormality, as well as with the micro-history of sexual violence, subsidized by methodological horizons arising respectively from the studies of Carlo Ginzburg and Boris Fausto. When describing and analyzing criminal complaints, we realized that, although they were foreseen in the penal codes of the time, cases of sexual violence against children derive from multiple social determinants, which makes them subject to historical analysis and potentially original for intersectional investigations in History of Brazilian Education. When we problematize the circularity of sexual violence, we conclude that the adult rapist uses a symbolic structure of power to oppress and control children's bodies.
