NICACIO, Marcondes de Lima. WORK AND RURAL EDUCATION IN THE JURUÁ VALLEY, ACRE. Revista Teias [online]. 2024, vol.25, n.78, pp.298-324. Epub 11-Out-2024. ISSN 1982-0305. https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2024.84218.
Rural education, as a proposal committed to the needs of the peasants, understands the connection between work and school as essential for development in rural areas. The problem listed for the study focused on the analysis of: what are the relationships between rural education and poverty for young people in the Vale do Juruá region, in the state of Acre?. To this end, a qualitative case study was carried out, using semistructured interviews, approached through a dialectical categorical analysis, mediated by the Nvivo software. The results of the study point to the school's disconnection from the materiality of work in the communities and the structural problems of teaching modality, school transport, school meals, the school's physical structure, among others, as elements of the precariousness of rural education.
