LIMA, Erick Calheiros de. Crítica da moral deontológica no jovem Hegel. Educação e Filosofia [online]. 2008, vol.22, n.43, pp.89-114. ISSN 1982-596X.

ABSTRACT Since the 1970 decade, when the political philosophy was profoundly renewed, the objection of “empty formalism”, directed by Hegel against Kant´s moral theory, has been returning to the contemporary philosophical debate on the moral foundations of political community. This fact raises interest in Hegel´s first attempt to overcome Kant´s practical philosophy: the project of a radical crtitique of deontological ethics, intended in Frankfurt and grounded on the concept of love, whose innerently intersubjective character emphasizes the social significance of what Hegel later conceived as the Aufhebung of the moral point of view in the ethical life. Firstly, this paper aims to outline Hegel´s early critique of the kantian- fichtean idealism in light of his historical-philosophical investigations in Tübingen, Bern and Frankfurt. The second part attempts a reexamination of the relation between Hegel´s conception of love and his critique of deontological morality, as it is presented in Geist des Christentums
